Sand is a loose block, falls down if there is no solid block underneath. It is used for the manufacture of glass, sandstone and in construction, but it is a very weak material. You can find sand in large quantities in the desert, along the shores of water bodies, at the bottom of the ocean. It is easy to get sand with your hand, but most quickly with a shovel. If sand falls on a mob or player, the mob will suffocate and lose health until it gets out. This property of sand is used in traps
Tricks and tips
Sand can be quickly extracted by knocking down the bottom block of sand with a torch and placing the torch immediately. The sand that has fallen from the top will immediately fall out.
