Mycelium is a block that looks like ground, but not with grass, but with a gray-brown layer on top. Mycelium is generated in the Mushroom Biome. You cannot plant trees and flowers on the mycelium, but mushrooms grow on it (and do not fall out in the light) and a Mushroom Cow may appear (but only in the Mushroom Biome). To get a block of mycelium, you need to destroy it with a tool with the Silk Touch enchant, otherwise just earth will fall out
